Decoupling and low-height Support elements

That's why you lay rubber-coated pads underneath your paver pedestals.

Traditionally full-area rolled out rubber mats impact the patio drainage performance negatively due to the spongy structure. Also the sealing membrane can not be checked easily in case of a defect.

Our rubber-coated Disc- and Plate-Spacers are shaped as the appropriate pedestals to benefit undisturbed water drainage underneath the paving. The high-performance elastomer material also has footfall sound insulating and decoupling effects.

Many elements can be used as standalone low-height premium pedestals or in combination with many VOLFI System Supports for better stability and a seamless slab-laying result.

Lowest decoupling element 2mm (Type VS-GKU rc)

  • For footfall sound reduction, decoupling, ant-slip and increasing the height
  • For laying slabs on existing level/ hard substrates (e.g. tiled surface)
  • Prefabricated supports available with I joints for edge slabs and with T joints for stretcher bond or without lugs
  • joint lugs can be cut-off

Best performance decoupling element 5mm thick (Type VP-GKU rc)

  • For footfall sound reduction, decoupling, anti-slip and increasing the height
  • As a decoupling base element for all VOLFI Stackable Supports, ZR-V 4-Corner adjustable Pedestals, TL-V and other VOLFI System components
  • Also for laying slabs directly on existing level/ hard substrates (e.g. tiled surface) or grids
  • Prefabricated supports available with I joints for edge slabs and with T joints for stretcher bond or without lugs
  • Joint widths from 2 to 8 mm are possibel (in combination with FK-B/ FK-BT Cross Spacers inserted)

Decoupling element with dimpled base for water drainage underneath 10mm thick (Type VPN-GKU rc)

  • Dimpled base for ideal water drainage (*dimpled base not recommended for bitumen sheeting)

Extra-Large decoupling element for pedestals (Type BP-GKU rc)

  • Base Plate (Ø 210mm) for footfall sound reduction, decoupling, anti-slip and increasing the height
  • As a decoupling base element for all VOLFI Stackable Supports, ZR-V 4-Corner adjustable Pedestals, TL-V, Drain Channels and other VOLFI system components
  • For laying slabs on existing level/ hard substrates (e.g. tiled surface)
  • Available with or without lugs, edge slabs and T joints by cutting along the integrated cutting grooves using a Stanley knife
